  • Do I have to pay for exhibitions?
    While entry is always free to visitors at all exhibitions (unless specifically mentioned), you will need to pay a nominal fee to exhibit your work.
  • Does the gallery have a library?
    Yes, the gallery has its own library. However, entry is restricted.
  • Where can I find biographical information on a particular artist?
    You will find it on the artist section of the website.
  • How do I determine the monetary value of a work of art I own?
    You can determine the monetary value of your piece of art through art auctions or by speaking with an art expert. In limited cases, the gallery can even recommend an expert.
  • How can I sell an artwork to the gallery?
    We do not buy art.
  • Where can I find assistance with authentication?
    Authentication can be taken from the artist, family member of the artist, from the art gallery from where you have purchased the work or any person who has done research on that particular artist.
  • Where can I learn about special exhibitions?
    The gallery puts up a four months program in advance on the noticeboard situated in the foyer.
  • How can I find out whether a particular work of art is currently on view at the gallery?
    You will be able to find it out through the event calendar section of the website.
  • How may I acquire visual images of artworks in the permanent collection of the gallery?
    The gallery does not have a permanent collection.
  • Where can I get information about an object in the gallery?
    You can get all the information you need in the gallery office situated on the first floor.
  • Where can I find information about a painting or print I own or have seen in the gallery?
    You will be able to find it out through the event calendar section of the website.
  • How can I buy a copy of my favorite painting?
    You can buy and check availability of the same from the sales room situated in the foyer.
  • If I want to buy a certain product, how do I go about it?
    You can buy it from the sales room situated in the foyer.
  • Where can I find out who holds the copyright of the work of a particular artist?
    Copyright of the work always lies with the artist.
  • Where can I find answers to questions about conservation and/or restoration?
    You will find all the necessary information in the black book section of the website.
  • How can I make a gift to the gallery?
    You can do so by way of donations. The gallery enjoys tax exemption under the law stated in 80G
  • Are baby strollers or backpacks permitted in the gallery?
    Yes
  • Is photography permitted in the gallery?
    Yes, but only with the permission of the artist who is exhibiting his work.
  • Can anyone bypass the admissions line?
    As a general rule no. However, exceptions can be made with the permission of the artist who is exhibiting his work.
  • Are visitors permitted to sketch in the gallery?
    Yes, but only with the permission of the artist who is exhibiting his work.
  • Can I take photos when I visit?
    Yes, you can take photos during your visit.
  • Can I use my mobile phone in the gallery?
    Yes, you can use your mobile phone in the gallery
  • Why are lighting levels in some galleries low?
    This gives a better view of the art on display.
  • How can I check to see whether the work I want to see is on display before I visit?
    You can do so by visiting the event calendar section of the website.
  • How can I access work in storage?
    The gallery does not have a storage section.
  • Where can I park my car?
    There are two parking lots outside the gallery.
  • Does the gallery have a wheelchair access?
    There is a ramp for wheelchairs till the foyer. However no wheelchair is available within the gallery.
  • Can I access a list of publications by the gallery?
    Yes you can do so through the art-shop salesroom of the gallery situated in the foyer.
  • From where do I borrow free educational programs from the gallery?
    You can do so through the art-shop salesroom of the gallery situated in the foyer.
